The unique AXXIS backrest shell has 5 adjustment zones, providing independent lateral support at the pelvic and thoracic levels. Integrated strapping within the backrest allows for adjustment to provide the ideal lumbar profile. The mounting system allows adjustment of seat depth, backrest angle, backrest height and assymetrical positioning to support trunk and pelvic rotation.

The mounting system is easy to attach to any wheelchair with backrest posts. It is easy to remove for transport or for use on different wheelchairs (eg. power and manual).
Because of the flexibility and range of adjustment the AXXIS backrest can be adjusted over time as client needs change. It can also be adapted for use on different wheelchairs for different clients.
The AXXIS system integrates perfectly with a wide range of accessories, including head rests, lateral supports, harness adaptors etc. It will also allow for fitting of a wide range of third party accessories.
