MERLIN™ PROXIMITY SENSOR
The majority of wheelchair users can quickly and easily monitor the inflation level of their ROHO cushion, however there is a minority who cannot do this due to a variety of factors. These wheelchair users should not have to worry about skin damage due to improper seat inflation. The Merlin Proximity Sensor provides these users with peace of mind. It’s wisdom and confidence permits a person to put their trust in their adjusted setting. This innovative “magic” maintains each user’s individual adjustment, setting them at ease all day long.

MERLIN is SIMPLE to use:
Yellow Display: Inflation level has changed from original set point. Cushion may be overinflated. Green Display: Inflation level is correct based on original set point. Red Display with audio beep: Inflation level of cushion has changed from original set point. Cushion may be underinflated. Monitoring Mode: Merlin “wakes” every ten minutes to make sure the cushion’s inflation levels have not changed. Any changes in the inflation level and Merlin will alert the user. MERLIN can be "woken" up at any time to check the level.
Product Details
Sensor Pad: A Flat Pad constructed of Monoprene rubber. Velcro pads
enable the Sensor Pad to be fixed to the underside of the cushion.
Coiled Cable: A connection between the Pad and the Control Unit. The cable
shield is constructed of vinyl. The cable length is approx. 7" (18 cm)
at rest and approx. 19" (48 cm) when extended.
Control Unit: Controls the Merlin Proximity Sensor and provides
feedback to the user. The polycarbonate case houses the battery.
Battery: 1/2 AA (3.6) Lithium. With normal use, the battery life span
is approximately 3 years.
Weight: Weight of parts varies by sensor pad size. Average weight of
combined parts is 14 ounces (0.4 kg.)
Warranty: Two-year limited warranty
Weight Limit: No weight limit as it works with the ROHO Cushion.
